Moana Surfrider
The Moana Surfrider opened in 1901 and is the oldest hotel in Waikiki. It is best for couples looking for a quiet, romantic, and luxury experience. The resort is charming with colonial architecture, wide verandas, and a banyan tree courtyard. It gives off a luxury old world vibe, perfect for a romantic escape in the middle of it all.
We spent an anniversary here and enjoyed a beautiful, oceanfront dinner at the restaurant downstairs, Beachhouse Waikiki. I highly recommend enjoying a dinner there! You definitely want to make reservations!

Halekulani
One of the most luxurious hotels in Waikiki, Halekulani lives up to the meaning of its name of “house befitting heaven”. Royal Hawaiian

While it still has the same spirit and vibe of the North Shore, it now comes with an elevated experience and the luxury of the Ritz Carlton brand.
The Ritz-Carlton Turtle Bay Resort is set on 1,300 acres with five miles of coastline, so it feels spread out but intimate. There is enough room to make it a secluded experience. Every room features an ocean view, but for an even more private experience you can stay in a beach bungalow.
There are a variety of activities available, including golfing on an Arnold Palmer designed course, horseback riding along the shoreline, kayaking with honu (Hawaiian green sea turtles), and surfing lessons.

Ko’olina
On the sunny western side of the island is a luxury resort community away from the crowds of Waikiki. With four man-made lagoons, the water is calm and swimmable making it a perfect area for families. And the sunsets? Some of the best on the island!

Unlike other Four Seasons resorts, the Four Seasons Resort at Ko’olina offers a more intimate vacation with a more compact property. While it might not offer the same sprawling resort vibe, the excellent service and attentive staff make up for that.
There are four pools on the property, including an adults only infinity pool! The rooms are beautiful and nearly every room has great views. They offer complimentary snorkel and paddleboard gear. There is a house car service to nearby restaurants, but if you want to explore more of Oahu, you will need to rent a car. There is an Enterprise location next door at Aulani though!
