October came with all of the fall feels. Now as we head into November, we’re having consistently cooler weather here. We’ve had some a few storms already and several days that haven’t been above 60º. I loved watching all of the leaves change in the mountains, it’s been looking pretty magical up here for weeks. And I’ve been fully embracing this real fall weather and wearing all of my layers, boots, and cozy accessories.

With the cooler temperatures we had almost all month here, I’ve been living for all of the fall outfits. While I’ve added a few key pieces to my wardrobe this year, I have several from past years that I’m still grabbing for. I’ve already figured out some of my favorites fall style staples that I know I’ll be grabbing for all fall and into winter.

Boots
Boots add a lot of personality to fall outfits and keep your feet warm, which is why they make such great style staples. And I love that some boots can be stylish while keeping your feet dry/warm against the elements. The hunter boots and these L.L. Bean boots are staples in my closet, especially in the fall. I’ve always loved brown knee high boots, they look so equestrian chic and are rich, beautiful colors. I got these caramel colored boots earlier this fall and I already know I’ll be wearing them a lot this fall and winter. They are so comfortable and look gorgeous with everything!

Plaid
Plaid is a classic fall staple for any style and wardrobe. It is perfect for layering and can be effortlessly chic. This plaid shirt is so comfortable and perfect for any fall outfit. Plaid shirts are often flannel so they are great for staying warm as the weather cools down. There are so many fun colors and patterns for plaid. I love plaid button ups, sweaters, and as accessories!
Skirts
Skirts are a must for fall, especially in vibrant or bold colors and patterns. Plaid is a style staple for fall, and plaid skirts are gorgeous. Suede or corduroy skirts are perfect for fall, especially in burnt orange or neutral browns. I love pairing my skirts with black tights and booties, it’s warm and so chic.
Rich Fall Colors
I love the rich colors of fall, such as brown, olive, and rust orange. They pair great with white, creams, and neutral colors. I bought these olive pants this fall and they are the perfect fall color.

Sweaters
Oversized or cashmere sweaters are essential in any wardrobe for fall. These style staples are great for being comfortable, warm, and stylish. Plus they are great for layering and keeping you warm! This cashmere sweater is one of my favorites every year as the temperature starts to drop. It can be paired with jeans for a casual look or layered for a more sophisticated look.

Outerwear
Vests and jackets can be statement pieces in fall outfits. This herringbone vest is one of my favorites as a fall style staple, but a bold fall color, like this vest here in dark wine is also a great statement piece. One of my favorite pieces is this black peacoat I got years ago (similar versions here and here). I just purchased this tan peacoat (on sale for under $40) and it’s so gorgeous with any outfit.

Denim
I love pulling out my denim again as the temperature drops. I can’t be bothered to put on jeans when it’s 100º outside. So I always get excited to wear them again in the fall. I love good dark denim pants or a denim jacket to accessorize. But I also love lighter colored jeans, like these ones here. Jeans with distressing or tears, like these ones here or these ones here, can be especially chic with booties.
Neutral Colors
I love neutral colors in the fall. Camel, beige, and tans are such classic shades and they pair up with just about everything. I just added these pants (in flax) to my wardrobe and I can already tell I’ll be grabbing for them often. They are very comfortable and a perfect neutral color for fall outfits.

Leopard Print
I love leopard print and it’s perfect for fall! It incorporates beautiful fall colors like camel, brown, and black. Hunter came out with a leopard print boot this year and they are gorgeous! Of course my favorite pair of flats from last year have made their appearance this fall. Fall is the perfect time for booties; these leopard print booties and these ones are adorable and very chic!
Accessories
I love accessorizing fall outfits, especially because it usually means cozy layers! Some of my fall style staples are scarves and beanies. I have been living in my new beanie since it’s been so cold here already! And this scarf is gorgeous with all of its fall colors!
