Meet Sarah, my Amazing Solidarity Sister

April 25, 2016 This post may contain affiliate links, which means that at no extra cost to you if you buy from one of the product links, I’ll earn a small commission which helps this site run. See full disclosure here.

I’m so happy to introduce you to another amazing blogger, Sarah from Sarah Emily Blogs. She has been my solidarity sister the past two months and it has been amazing. I love that Susannah extended the length of each matchup to two months.

Sarah lives in Florida and I’m pretty bummed about it because she’s on the opposite side of the country from me! I have always wanted to go to Florida though.. Anyways, we are both amazed at how much we have in common, obsessing over our fur babies or loving anything sparkly. Sarah also recently got married and her wedding looked so gorgeous and magical. She has an awesome blog and was a blast to talk to and get to know.

Sarah is such a beautiful person inside and out! Besides being gorgeous, she has been so supportive of me in these last few months that have been really stressful for me. I feel so comfortable talking to her about whatever, even if it’s just to vent or ask for advice. I definitely think we’ll continue to be great friends!

So here is Sarah for a Q&A so you can get to know her better (I know you’ll love her)!

Who’s your biggest role model?
My Dad. In short, he is just absolutely everything to me. He has always shown me an insane amount of encouragement and unconditional love. He didn’t grow up in an easy household so he really wanted to do anything and everything he could to make my sisters and my life perfect. He is a great guy.

What’s your favorite movie?
The Fast and Furious Series. As much as I love all of the movies, I love the memories I have associated with them. My dad and I would always watch them together as he is a car movie junkie but also, John, my hubby and I watched one of the Fast and Furious movies on our first date!

What are some of your goals (life, blogging, etc.)?
As far as life goals, we just signed on a house so I want that to all go smoothly, get the house decorated and moved into our liking then start towards having a family! For blog goals, I really just want to get better at networking with other bloggers and brands.

What do you like to do for fun?
Travel and local fairs/festivals. I just like to be around people and see new things. I love local fairs and festivals because I am able to kind of play tourist at home. Spending time with my hubby and puppies is pretty great as well!

Favorite blog post you’ve written?
My Adoption Story. I did this as a three part series. Although being adopted doesn’t define me in any way, it is a big part of me. This is one of the more real/raw posts I have written and I think it gives my readers a good inside look of who I am.

Why did you start blogging?
My first blog ever was a teaching blog. I was at one point a toddler teacher at a preschool. I wanted a space where I could post my lesson plans and teaching ideas. When I realized that wasn’t for me, I started a lifestyle blog. I started this blog because I really enjoyed writing but since I wasn’t going to be writing about my classroom experiences, I didn’t want to clog my teacher friends blog feeds with beauty and life posts.

Favorite food/drink?
Food: anything Thai! Drink: nonalcoholic, infused water (grapefruit and rosemary is my fav.) alcoholic: a raspberry mojito

What’s in a name? How did you pick your blog name?
My blog started out as Coffee&Glitter but I realized that that wasn’t a name that could grow with me. I changed it to Sarah Emily Blogs because it is my name and I felt like it was a bit more personal.

Where do you see your blog in 5 years?
I really hope to be a mommy blogger in 5 years. I want to also try to stick to more of a schedule in terms of what kinds of posts are on which days I am more predictable to my readers.

If you were deserted on an Island, what are the 5 MATERIAL things you would bring?
1. my wireless router. in my world, it would work on my island and homegirls gotta be able to blog and FaceTime. 2. my laptop 3. a Thai food, food truck. 4. blankets and a pillow 5. my camera!

What is one thing you want your readers to know about you?
I used to be really shy. Like insanely shy but, I feel like blogging has helped me overcome that. I don’t know how since this is typing on a screen, not talking in person but I can see a difference.

What is a guilty pleasure of yours?
Reality TV! I am a junkie. Housewives, Teen Mom, Bachelor, you name it!

Go check out Sarah and share the love!

Just going to photo dump pictures from the last ye Just going to photo dump pictures from the last year of our travels. Enough of being too critical on myself and my photos.

Still stuck on how green and beautiful the Wahkeena Falls Trail was 😍 see my last reel for videos and more information on this beautiful hike
Really upset I can’t be hiking right now so here Really upset I can’t be hiking right now so here’s a picture from last year hiking to Eagle Falls

I always struggle with posting pictures because I don’t like something about it - how I look, the quality isn’t as good as other people’s, I can’t think of something good to say, etc. so I end up not sharing anything 🤦🏼‍♀️ Anybody else?
