The other weekend I visited my brother in La Jolla. He just moved back to Southern California after living in New York for a few years. I actually road tripped down to drive him his car that he stored at our dads house. He didn’t really need a car in New York City, but now that him and his wife are back in San Diego they need it again. So I offered to drive it down to them so I could see them and meet my niece. Plus I love San Diego and La Jolla.
While it was only a short trip, I loved my time down there! I got there just in time to watch the sunset at Scripps Beach and take some beautiful photos by the Scripps Pier.

After watching the sunset, I met my brother at Leucadia Pizzeria for dinner. I didn’t even take a picture because I was so hungry and the food looked too delicious! In the morning, my brother worked so I went to breakfast with my sister in law and her parents. We ate at Snooze, an A.M. Eatery. If you read my blog post about my road trip through Arizona, you’ll know that I ate at Snooze in Scottsdale before I left and I absolutely loved it! There was jenga out front for entertainment while waiting. I highly recommend getting the pineapple juice with your breakfast, it’s amazing! But the mimosa list looks pretty delicious too!
After breakfast, I went up to the Torrey Pines Gliderport to hang out before leaving for the airport. There were so many paragliders! Plus there is an incredible view of La Jolla. If you love off the beaten path adventures, definitely check out paragliding at the Torrey Pines Gliderport for an aerial view of La Jolla and Torrey Pines.

I only wish I’d had more time to spend in La Jolla exploring. My brothers went to college in San Diego, so I’ve spent a lot of time exploring down there. But I have a good excuse to go back, so I can’t wait to go again!
I found you here through the Bookaholic Cafe on FB. We were married in La Jolla and live about 2 hours north. We have a wonderful Airbnb we stay at when we visit if you’re interested! Love your blogs!
Thank you Karen! I bet it was a beautiful wedding! I love visiting the area! I’d love the link to the Airbnb! I usually stay with my brother, but he has an apartment and sometimes it’s a little crowded.
