The south and west sides of the island are some of my favorite places to watch the sun go down, especially when the clouds put on a show like this.

A few of my Favorite Sunset Spots:
🌺 Poʻipū Beach (great spot for seeing Honu resting on shore)
🌺 Salt Pond
🌺 Polihale
🌺 Kekaha Beach

If you’re planning your Kauaʻi itinerary, leave at least one evening completely open to grab some food, head to the beach, and watch the sun disappear into the Pacific.

Looking for a quick hike with incredible views?

Looking for a quick hike with incredible views?

Cave Rock Trail is only 0.8 miles round trip, but offers panoramic views of Lake Tahoe. It’s a short hike with a relatively flat dirt trail and a brief rock scramble at the end. There is almost a path in the rocks making the scramble manageable.

It’s one of my favorite places to watch sunrise or sunset, the light is stunning over the lake! Sunrise tends to be less crowded than sunset. There is a very small parking area (only about 5 cars), so plan to arrive early to get a spot.
